Detailed description of Riverpines Golf Course, Eighteen Hole
RiverPines Golf Course is a Public 27 hole golf facility located in Alpharetta, Georgia. The facility has an eighteen hole course and a nine hole par 3 course.
Both courses were designed by Denis Griffiths. The Eighteen hole course opened in 1992. The Nine hole course opened in 1991.
The Eighteen Hole Course has narrow fairways, and its greens are full of subtle breaks. The signature hole is #17, a 495-yard, par 5, which plays alongside the Chattahoochee River.
Par for the Eighteen Hole Course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6511 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4279 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 534 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 447 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 172 yard par-3.

This was my first time playing at River Pines. Had a great time. Played on a super twilight rate which included range balls and a cart and ability to play until dark. We got in 12 holes.
If you are in the Atlanta area and want great golf, you might try this one. I was pleasantly surprised.

Always in good shape and fun to play. Has a few quirky holes -- 1 and 10 are blind shots with fairly narrow fairways. 18 is all uphill to a ridge then all downhill to the hole.

This is a most enjoyable course. Several holes run along the Chattahoochie River. We see many deer as we play in the evenings. Staff is very, very nice and accommodating.
